It is the first fruit from the Honeycrisp I planted last year. There will be others (only one other this year, but many more to come) but I am ridiculously pleased at this one. However ordinary it may appear, and actually is, it is the first.
Everything we do affects the future, and we hope in a positive way, but rarely does a bet on the future pay off so well as planting a fruit tree.
