Shadow's Favorite Place

Shadow has a favorite place!
-
When I first got this covered cat bed, I thought the felines were ignoring it. They would sniff it but I never saw them enter. I didn't see Shadow when she was inside since my viewpoint is more than 5 feet above the entrance.
One day I was cleaning up and tried to swat it out of the way with my foot. Inside the thing, Shadow was startled and so was I!
I've learned to check before moving this; it's often inhabited. There's a lesson here somewhere!

Home Thoughts

Strange to realize my house is bigger than the one I grew up in with 9 siblings. All the rooms have proper ceilings too.

---
Now that I think of it, my first floor alone is probably as big as the entire finished floor space of the old Winnie house: three bedrooms, bath, living room, kitchen - each are bigger in my place, so they make up for the  "porch" aka laundry and storage room.

The "boy's room" unfinished attic was no bigger than the basement main room, leaving the basement kitchenette, bedroom and laundry room as pure bonus. Perhaps I'll think of a use for all that but for now I can just be grateful.

Cats Judge Time By The Sun

My cats judge time by the sun, not by the clock. They worry that I am sleeping in more and more as the season progresses. Not much I can do about that.

Onion Flower Bee

Neighbor Bee on my onion flower. I hope it doesn't flavor the honey!
I like to plant little green onions because they're an easy crop. Just leave them alone for 3 months and they're huge. The trick is to harvest them before they get woody. Their flowers are really interesting.
This is the first year I've noticed bees on them, perhaps because my neighbors Marcia & Wendy have a hive. It's good for all of us!
