Bee and Flowers at the Y

I love my Saturday morning Barre class at West Seattle/Fauntleroy YMCA. The flowers are nice too, especially in the season of bees.

Across the street from my bus stop

I walked on the south side of the street to my bus stop today, and saw these pretty little bushes close up.

In the evening I did chores, picked a cup of berries for processing later, and did chores. It was prosaic but relaxing!

Speak Out 10th Anniversary

I was invited to the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the "Speak Out" Toastmasters Club in downtown Seattle. It was an exceptional event, held at the Elephant and Castle, and featuring "Toastamonials" in which club members talked about what the club had meant to them. This club meets on a night that I don't usually have something else going on so I might have to start showing up. Certainly inviting me to a party got our friendship off to a good start!

White Flowers, Black Tie

A black railroad tie bulkhead backdrops a white flower on the way to my bus stop

Catnip And Shadow

Fresh catnip, courtesy of my friends Hannah and Julie. I went to their house to carpool to Adela's party in Tacoma last Saturday, and while we were waiting around, Hannah picked me a magnificent bouquet of catnip for my furry kids. Thanks!!!

Berry Good

It is very satisfying to harvest even a little food out of the yard. These berries, mint, and apples today; on other days onions, rhubarb and salad greens. This is so much more satisfying than a lawn to mow!
