The Trump Cult is now allied with the Global Climate Change Denialism Cult

The Trump Cult is now allied with the Global Climate Change Denialism Cult (see Trump's tweet, below).

Their leaders can say anything - ANYTHING AT ALL - and their cult following goes along. Who cares about those wonky scientists and their fancy-dancy "degrees" and stuff?

We saw this earlier with killer tobacco. To the day he died, my father denied cigarette smoking caused cancer. And guess what? it didn't kill him, it was an infection he couldn't fight off because of cigarette-induced emphysima - take that you liberals, he sure showed you!

We're seeing the same thing with climate change. This would be funny if it weren't so deadly for everyone else.

Today's Seattle snowfall

Shutdown Donations Appreciated!

Ending the shutdown did not mean immediate payment of back wages; it takes days for the computers to work their magic. Therefore donations you made yesterday to food banks and elsewhere in support of those who did not get paid was well done and much appreciated. (I'm looking at you, Veterans And Friends Of Puget Sound and DAV Chapter 23 - West Seattle, but there are many many others - thank you all!)

According to the email I just got from the union, management promises to come current "no later than Jan. 31" which is still a problem for families with kids to feed and diaper.

Still, it's something of a miracle when you consider the ancientness of our computers. It's not like buying something from Amazon!

Once again, thank you for your support; it was well done. I hope this leads to a renewed sense of community and a habit of mutual aid. There are many who remain in need and we are all in this together.
