Today's project: put up a cover to protect my housemate Heather's car from Scot the Pine's enthusiastic sap. After a few days of bombardment, her car looks like the aftermath of a seagull party, except the sap doesn't hose off.
The weather was not scheduled to stop raining until Friday, so my friend Julie and I said, "what the heck, it's only water", and spent about an hour attaching connector A to pipes 1 and 2, et cetera.
This is adult tinker toys!!!
The result is pretty much we needed. I am especially pleased that the rain will still go into the driveway's permeable surface (somewhat concealed by needles and clover) so it can feed the tree instead of the overloaded storm sewers; the water just takes a detour sliding down the canvas top.
