Happy Thanksgiving! What I saw on the traditional walk around the neighborhood ...

Interesting succulents are a great way to fill in the spaces between the boulders that form walls that level out many home lots (not mine). Plus they displace those invasive blackberry and ivy!
This raised bed is a good way to use a parking space (although why did they leave the grass border? It's just one more thing to maintain) but what is that ground cover?
Some kid lost his or her scissors on the sidewalk. I stuck them on the nearest fence; maybe they'll find them.
The sun shining through the red leaves!
Not sure what these are, but I found it interesting that they seemed to ripen by getting paler. Like me haha!
Dropping off a DVD at the library was the ostensible purpose of the walk. They rebuilt this one a few years ago and it's great - notice the large north windows that make it very nicely lit inside. (Closed today of course)
Someone lost their costume glass snake tail (probably Halloween, or maybe a bike helmet decoration?). Unlike real glass snakes, this one has velco for easy re-attachment.
I took a different route home, and was rewarded by seeing this old wagon
Water control is very important around here. This is part of a belt of natural area with ponds.
If you want to know more about this Greenway you can expand this picture, or just use the google machine
Kale is not only tasty, it's fun to look at and tolerates our winters well!
Someone on the street two blocks over has a wonderful crop of rose hips!
I brought a bag on my walk and collected - why it must be 50 cents worth of aluminum!
I'm unsure about that diet Vernor's can. Real Vernor's is great, but diet soda is like kissing a zombie.
