Work Update

Tax returns are not a question of Public Safety. It's just money.

It is a hardship for me to go more than a month without pay and for what? So other people can get their tax refunds earlier. It's a fine job and I'm proud of it, but I can't do it for free.

I am sorry for the taxpayers that are going to suffer for this. They need their money. So do I.

I was willing to sacrifice for a month, because that's part of being a professional, but going to the point of risking my mortgage is simply enabling abuse. I applied for a hardship exception to being called back to work for more pay. I'm using the time to apply for jobs, as required by unemployment.

I'm not sure that I should apply for any federal jobs, however, haha
