Good News About Donor Response To #TrumpShutdown

Cyril Miller of Veterans And Friends Of Puget Sound
The #TrumpShutdown was a stupid waste, but like other disasters, it brought out the good in many people.
When the news reported that our Seattle-area Coast Guard Food Bank was depleted, Veterans And Friends Of Puget Sound talked to some donors and got a very generous response (all of them insisting on anonymity; they're not in it for fame.)
We asked the Food Bank what was their greatest need at this time and was told that although food was urgent, other people were bringing it; the biggest shortage was everyday family supplies such as diapers and formula and deoderant and sanitary supplies.
Everybody knows that a family out of diapers is in deep doo-doo!
Let's all hope this will not be needed in the future, but for today: Well Done Donors! - you know who you are and we're proud of you. Some heroes wear capes, others provide anonymous Huggies.
