Strawberries Make Better Lawn Than Grass

We got $10 of bare-root strawberries from a sale this spring, and the results have been fantastic! They went in as edging to our walk but I don't see how they wouldn't be a fine replacement for the grass in the parts of the lawn where we don't habitually walk.The leaves are nice, the plants are tough and the berries are even better than you remember!
Why waste space on grass when you can grow berries like these?

What a great idea! I love the way these look as a border on the driveway. I will have to think about incorporating strawberries into my small, but growing, edible garden in the front. Now, if the bunnies will only stay away...
