Spring Cleaning and the Buy Nothing Project

A "pig" for beer
Fly, Be Free
The Buy Nothing Project is a concept similar to freecyle: people who have stuff they don't want offer it to others via social media.
"We offer people a way to give and receive, share, lend, and express gratitude through a worldwide network of hyper-local gift economies in which the true wealth is the web of connections formed between people who are real-life neighbors.
A friend connected me with the Buy Nothing White Center, a fairly laid back, down-to-earth group. It's really helped with spring cleaning  - items I have not used in years will go to a good home, without the total anonymity of thrift store giving. And there are some things that thrift stores don't really sell, like a "Pig" for beer brewing. It's my latest give-a-way - off it flies today and it makes me happy to know it'll be used for what it was meant for (...and I get back a little more space!)
Now thatt we are moving into Spring Cleaning Time, consider joining a local Buy Nothing Project or a freecycle - and if you don't have one, make one!
